Anna started her broadcasting career at KCBS in 1994, a few months before graduating from San Jose State University. After 5 years, she moved on to a brief stint reporting traffic on the radio. In 1999, she began writing and reporting at local television stations KRON and KPIX before returning to KCBS in 2010 as a reporter.
Anna owes not only the start of her professional career to KCBS, but the start of her family as well. It was while working at KCBS in 1997 that she met her future husband at the home of one of her colleagues. Anna and Don were married in 2003 and have since had 3 children. Anna and Don love to travel. Some of the highlights of their past trips include going inside the Giza pyramids in Egypt, touring the Angor Wat temples in Cambodia and traveling Thailand by train. So far, with the kids, they’ve made it as far as Disneyland, but she hopes they will all hop on a plane soon so her children can see the world.
Anna is a Bay Area native. She was born in San Jose and raised in Milpitas. She feels very fortunate to be able to work in such a beautiful place, doing work that allows her to meet new people everyday.
