Kim has a California pedigree that goes back multiple generations to the Gold Rush era. Born in Oakland and raised on radio, Kim started her considerable record collection at age four with The Beatles.

And the beat goes on.

Music was the lure that brought her to radio, beginning her career in the 80's at KSFO/KYA in music research. She counts herself lucky to have worked aside radio legends like Jazzbeaux Collins, Gene Nelson, Russ "the Moose" Syracuse and Carter B. Smith.

Eventually, Kim was encouraged to audition, and then landed, a newly created airborne traffic reporter position at KNBR, working with radio superstars Frank Dill and Mike Cleary. The many twists and turns since then include working at KFOG with Dave Morey, a stint in Portland radio hosting her own music programs, and finally landing in the traffic anchor chair at KCBS in 2005. Kim was honored to be inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame class of 2011.

She enjoys songwriting and torturing guitars and has released an album with her band, The Flywheels. She rises dark and early everyday twisting her body in yoga poses before going on the air at KCBS. Traveling the globe and hiking the wilds of Marin with her husband, Kevin Radich, and their enthusiastic dalmatian, Chester, are among her greatest joys.
