Ted Ramey is a sports broadcaster and anchor of all trades in the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to anchoring traffic, sports, and news at KCBS, he serves as the play by play voice and talk show host for the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer and is a talk show and podcast host for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League. Ted's play by play work has been featured on national television (CBS and CBS Sports Network), and internationally as well (Univision). Ted has previously been a talk show host (The Ted Ramey Show) and sports anchor at KNBR and served as the sports anchor on the hit FM morning show "The Lamont & Tonelli Show" on KSAN 107.7 The Bone.
When not in front of a microphone and or camera, he's usually with his family. He's been married to Teresa since 2011, and the two have been together since 2003 when they were just two 20-year-old kids that happened to live across the hall from each other. Together, they have two sons, six-year-old Eli, and four-year-old Desmond. They run around the house screaming into unplugged microphones, which is unsurprisingly, exactly what Ted did growing up with his own sports broadcasting father, Hal Ramey.
Rounding out the (human) family of four, Ramey also has a dog, Maggie, that was adopted from BadRap.org, most famously known for being the group that rescued the infamous Michael Vick dogs. Ted's wife, Teresa, has worked in the nonprofit animal shelter world for over two decades. Both of Ted and Teresa grew up in households that adopted from animal rescues and shelters, and it has turned into a lifelong passion for them both.
If there's any free time left in the day, Ted is an avid cross-fitter, power lifter, and runner, and has built an impressive home gym in his garage. His other passions include guitars, guitar gear, vintage amplifier repair and rebuilding, history, science, politics and classic cars.
Ted and his wife Teresa also love going wine tasting, going to breweries, going to concerts, and cooking together.
