A person was struck by a BART train at the Union City on Friday morning.
The person's condition was unknown, according to the train system, but the station was closed as authorities responded to the medical emergency.
The shutdown was causing significant delays for passengers traveling from or to the Fremont and Warm Springs stations.
An AC Transit bus was replacing service for passengers trying to travel past Union City. The 99-line bus was connecting riders from South Hayward through Union City to Fremont where they could board a train going to Warm Springs.
