It was a deadly day on the Caltrain tracks along the Peninsula Monday.
There were two fatal collisions nearly three hours apart.
A pedestrian was hit and killed by a southbound train at Mountain View station just before 8 p.m. The victim, who Caltrain said was trespassing, was struck near the Castro Street crossing.

July 23, 2019 Earlier, a pedestrian was struck and killed at the Burlingame station after allegedly trespassing on the tracks, Caltrain said.
