Employees at Facebook were evacuated from the company's offices in Menlo Park on Monday after suspicious packages arrived in the corporate mail room.
A company spokesman wouldn't confirm to KCBS Radio the nature of the suspicious packages or how many workers had been exposed to the contents.
The material in the packages has not yet been identified, but was being handled as potentially hazardous, said Menlo Park Fire Distrcit Chief Harold Schapelhouman to KCBS Radio.
FBI agents are taking part in the investigation.
