
The entire property is 150 acres and like Napa's Rutherford Valley or Stags Leap, Cole Ranch is recognized as an American Viticultural Area (AVA).
The vineyards are planted with Riesling, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon vines and surrounded by gently rolling hills.
"Whoever owns this is going to have their own winery," said broker-Todd Renfrew, as he drove a truck around the property, pointing out the sights. "There are these private little valleys where the vineyard sits, and you have this nice big knoll up here where you could build a home."

It may not be on the market for long. There's been a lot of interest from prospective buyers, according to Renfrew.
"This is the smallest appellation in the United States. And it's the only one that is entirely owned by one person," he said. "I think the best part about this place is that it's unique."
It's a rare opportunity, in the broker's view. "You could come into this, have your appellation, have your own wine, and put your own mark on the industry," Renfrew said.
