Crews have postponed their search for a woman who was buried and presumed to be dead after a hillside collapsed at San Francisco's Fort Funston on Friday.
The search will resume after inclement weather, that's expected to soak the Bay Area, blows through sometime on Wednesday, according to officials with the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.
Dozens of firefighters frantically dug in the tons of sand and dirt that had cascaded onto the beach. Hours of futile digging led authorities to shift from a rescue to a recovery mission on Friday evening.

— SAN FRANCISCO FIRE DEPARTMENT (@SFFDPIO) February 23, 2019Golden Gate recreation officials said they have been unable to use radar equipment to scour the area, because the terrain is unstable. There is also the chance that the radar would detect false positives from concrete and metal debris.
The missing woman who has not been identified had been with another woman and a dog when the approximately 80-feet-tall hill gave way. The second woman and dog were rescued by bystanders.
