A suspect has been arrested after a mysterious explosion rocked the San Francisco neighborhood of South Park on Sunday morning, shattering dozens of windows and leaving residents with more questions than answers.
San Francisco Police said that Mustapha Math, 37, was arrested in connection with the explosion, which was reported at 9:55 a.m. near 2nd Street and Taber Place. No injuries were reported in the blast.
Police said that Math was booked on suspicion of possessing and igniting a destruction device, possessing destructive materials, and vandalism.
But as of Monday evening, police have not released any additional information, such as what type of device was used or what motived the San Francisco resident for the alleged crimes.
