The San Jose woman who was found murdered in her home last week died from "sharp force injuries" to her "neck and torso," the Santa Clara County medical examiner's office told KCBS Radio on Tuesday.

The medical examiner's office revealed Bambi Larson's cause of death, but shared no other information from its review of the apparent stabbing of the 59-year-old mother of two adult children.

The San Jose Police Department had already classified Larson's death as a homicide, but declined to discuss the case further on Tuesday.

Her body was found in her bedroom in the Thousand Oaks neighborhood on Thursday after coworkers became worried when she didn't show up to her job as a manager at a biotech company.

Neighbors previously told TV-station KPIX that security cameras recorded a suspicious man walking in the neighborhood early Thursday morning before the murder was discovered.
