Cyclists were the first passengers allowed to enter Caltrain's cars designated for bike riders in a new program that began on Monday.
The Bikes Board First campaign aims to speed up the boarding process.
During a pilot program last year, letting cyclists on before other riders shaved more than a minute from boarding time at train stations.
ALERT: Beginning Monday, March 11 cyclists will board bike cars first at ALL #Caltrain stations. Non-cyclists should use non-bike cars or wait for cyclists to board. @sfbc @bikesv pic.twitter.com/VhLT1Dw2gZ

March 5, 2019 Caltrain officials will be at some stations during peak hours to make travelers aware of the policy.
"Riders without bikes are encouraged to board non-bike cars," Caltrain tweeted.
