Protesters blocked the Pride parade in San Francisco on Sunday for about an hour, saying they were upset by the corporate takeover of the LGBTQ event.

Approximately 40 demonstrators linked arms and lay across Market Street, halting the festivities that marked the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Inn uprising, which is considered the beginning of the gay rights movement.

Some protesters scuffled with police and threw water bottles, TV-station KPIX reported.

Two people were arrested and one officer was injured, according to the San Francisco police department.
