SAN BRUNO (KCBS Radio) -- Police arrested a young South San Francisco man after a traffic collision that left several vehicles damaged late Wednesday night.
A few minutes later, police dispatchers received a 911 call from someone reporting he had been carjacked.
Investigators say they found holes in the story, concluding the man who reported the carjacking was in fact the driver of the crashed Scion. Passengers from that car were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
And the driver, identified as Carlos Enrique Gomez Perez, 19, was booked into the San Mateo County Jail on charges related to hit-and-run resulting in injury, as well as filing a false police report.
