A woman who lost her job after boasting online about confronting a President Trump supporter in a Palo Alto Starbucks has gone missing, according to authorities in Northern California.
The Lake County Sheriff's Department said that Rebecca Parker Mankey did not return home after visiting the area last week and may now be in Aberdeen Washington. She was reported missing and last seen on Friday.
Mankey lost her job and was harassed online after she wrote earlier this month on Facebook about berating the 74-year-old man who wore a red Make America Great Again hat in the coffee shop.
Mankey and her family received death threats after their personal information was published by conservative groups, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
The Palo Alto Police and Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office told KCBS Radio that they are not involved in the searching for Mankey.
