
A 17-year-old was allegedly shot and killed outside of an elementary school in Belmont on Monday night, according to police.
The teen was found lying with a gunshot wound in the parking lot in front of Central Elementary School by police at 10:55 p.m.
Family members of the teen had called police, expressing alarm and asking officers to look for him at the school, police said.
Authorities have not announced an arrest, but said they believe the teen knew the killer and that it wasn't a random attack.
The teen was not connected to the school where the shooting took place, according to police.
