A bomb squad has determined that a suspicious package that was left in a San Ramon parking lot is safe, police said on Tuesday morning.
The item, left near Crow Canyon Place, was a pressure cooker with exposed wires, according to San Ramon Police Capt. Denton Carlson.
A witness called police after seeing someone leave the device and drive away, Carlson said.
Police ordered evacuations before determining the device was not an explosive.
A bomb squad from Walnut Creek used a robot and technician to examine the device.
The Bomb Squad Technicians have deemed the device safe, and it is not a threat to public safety. If you were evacuated earlier, it is now safe for you to return. Thank you @walnutcreekpd for your assistance this morning!
