Kris started my postgrad work in politics, organizing for a few campaigns before getting behind the microphone. After a couple of years of working morning drive radio in Pennsylvania, he wanted to see more of the world that he was spending so much time talking about. He then flew to Los Angeles, hopped on a tour bus and didn't stop traveling for five years - working in the travel industry took Kris to 31 countries and 49 states; and supplied enough tales to occupy small talk during cocktail parties from now to eternity.
Kris returned to radio in 2012 in Washington, D.C. at WNEW. He covered a presidential inauguration, landmark Supreme Court decisions, city hall, transportation, a government shutdown (or two) and the civil unrest in Baltimore following the killing of Freddie Gray. Kris moved back to Southern California to report for KFI in 2016, just in time for one of the most tumultuous stretches in LA's history. His reporting followed mass protests following the election of President Donald Trump, some of the largest wildfires in California history, courtrooms for cases such as the Golden State Killer and the Turpin family, the Ridgecrest earthquake, riots and unrest following the killing of George Floyd and the pandemic.
Kris is a proud graduate of Penn State University.
When he's not telling stories on the radio, Kris is probably telling stories on the trail or around the campfire, likely to my wife and two young daughters. His work has been recognized with more than two dozen awards.
