Nikki Medoro is proud to be a long-time Northern California radio journalist. Her 20+ year career in radio began when she co-hosted a late-night reggae show at Chico State University. The first time she "cracked the microphone", she was hooked.
After she graduated from San Jose State University, she was hired at the hyper-local radio station KLIV in San Jose. She worked her way from overnight anchor to midday anchor, until she was hired at KFBK in Sacramento.
As a reporter and fill-in news anchor, she was able to cover state politics, Presidential visits, Governors races, the devastating wildfires in Lake Tahoe and even flew with the Blue Angels. She also won numerous awards for her multi-part series dealing with sex trafficking.
In 2011, she moved back to the Bay Area when she was hired at KGO Radio. She was briefly a reporter, before moving up to co-anchor the evening news and then became afternoon drive co-anchor with Bret Burkhart. In 2020, Nikki became the first woman at KGO to have her own morning drive talk show. She hosted that show until the station flipped formats in 2022.
In 2023, Nikki was honored to be hired at KCBS. She is thrilled to be working to bring the latest news and information to the community where she was born and raised.
