If avoiding the coronavirus wasn't incentive enough to get the vaccine, you can now cash in on free donuts if you roll up your sleeve for the shots.
Krispy Kreme is offering a free glazed donut to anyone who flashes their vaccination card at locations nationwide. The promotion will run "anytime, any day, every day for the rest of the year," Krispy Kreme chief marketing officer Dave Skena said.

Krispy Kreme doesn't want to just incentivize their customers, either. They're also offering up sweet deals for employees who seek out their COVID-19 vaccination.
Employees can get up to four hours of paid time off to go and receive their shots, following businesses like Best Buy, Target, and Trader Joe's who have all offered similar setups.
Krispy Kreme is no stranger to giving out free donuts - but they appear to be the first company to give away freebies to customers for receiving a COVID vaccination.
Skena is hopeful that other businesses will follow Krispy Kreme's lead and offer up promotions for those who receive their COVID vaccinations. "We may be first , but I really hope we're not the last," Skena said. "We should all do what we can to support folks getting this country past COVID."
And since not everyone is eligible for the vaccine as of yet, the company wants to make sure that customers have ample time to take advantage of the promotion - whenever they get their shots.
"We wanted it to be big enough to sort of catch people's attention and spread awareness," Skena said. "I think anything anyone can do to help show support for those getting the vaccine is a good thing right now and so we're just trying to do what little we can."
