Thousands of PG&E customers are being impacted by patchy power outages in Half Moon Bay.
From Half Moon Bay through the Ano Nuevo State Park, power outages have been reported since Friday evening affecting 1,900 people.
PG&E crews are assessing the area and hope to have power restored by 4 p.m. on Saturday.
The outages began on Friday at 4:07 p.m., but crews were unable to investigate and restore power at the time because the process required helicopters which were unavailable.
The cause of the unreliable power is still under investigation, but is likely related to planned maintenance in the area, officials reported.
The city of Half Moon Bay advises residents to unplug or turn off all appliances during an outage to help avoid overloading circuits when the power is restored and to leave a single lamp on as an alert.
