Antioch police arrested a 13-year-old carjacking suspect after a longwinded chase early Sunday morning.
At just around 3 a.m. on Sunday, police officers found a reportedly stolen Oakland vehicle driving down L Street near Sycomore Drive, according to authorities.

When officers pursued the car, the driver led them on a wild chase through the city into Oakley.
The police were notified that the suspects in the carjacking were armed with firearms.
Eventually, the car spun out of control on Main Street, crashing through the center median in the road and smashing into a decorative boulder outside of a Starbucks.
The 13-year-old driver, from Concord, attempted to flee the wreckage on foot.
But after a lengthy search of the surrounding neighborhood, he was arrested by Antioch police with the assistance of Oakley officers.
