
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Two 14-year-old boys were killed and a 15-year-old boy was hurt when their ATV hit a tree north of Vacaville on Thursday afternoon.

The boys were ejected from the ATV when it happened at about 4:05 p.m., authorities said.
One of the 14-year-old boys was driving the vehicle when it left the roadway and "collided with a tree." According to a news release from the California Highway Patrol, two of the three boys were pronounced dead at the scene. The third victim was taken to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment.
His injuries were minor.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The boys' identities weren't immediately released by the Solano County Coroner's Office, however officials said the two victims were from Winters and Woodside, respectively.
Authorities don't believe alcohol and drugs were a factor.
