3.1 magnitude earthquake shakes East Bay

SAN FRANCICO (KCBS RADIO) – Following the large earthquake in Humboldt County Tuesday, a 3.1 magnitude quake shook the East Bay Wednesday morning.

The United States Geological Survey reported that the earthquake struck at 8:34 a.m. and was centered 1.2 miles northeast of San Leandro.

The quake had a depth of 2.61 miles. It follows a massive earthquake that hit off the coast of Ferndale in Humboldt County Tuesday morning. Two people died as a result of the quake and 12 others were injured.
