An 8-year-old boy was floundering in the water off the Three Mile Slough Bridge near Rio Vista when a fishing group stumbled upon him, according to the station.
Five of the group went into the water to help the boy, but only two made it back to shore, the station reported.
The search for the remaining three men has turned into a search for their bodies, as it's likely they drowned.
The boy was successfully rescued, according to a post by the Rio Vista Fire Department on Sunday just before 3 p.m.
The department sent out a rescue boat to help, along with aid from the Coast Guard and other members of local law enforcement.
The three missing men have been identified by family members as Edwin Rivas, Edwin Perez and Danilo Solorzano, according to the outlet.
