A call came to police at the 21000 block of Tehama Ave. early in the morning. On the scene, officers found three people suffering non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital.

None of the victims' identities have been released, but police did confirm all three are adults.

Police were still searching for the suspect, who had fled the scene after the attack, when a call came in from the California Highway Patrol at 5:17 a.m. of a fatal traffic accident.

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle at Highway 85 and De Anza Blvd in nearby Cupertino.

"We can confirm the deceased pedestrian is the suspect wanted for this stabbing incident," police wrote in a Twitter thread about the incident.

The San Jose Police Department would not provide any additional information about the incident.
