Sunnyvale police on Wednesday arrested the third of three people suspected of being involved in a carjacking and robbery at a gas station earlier this month.

Aaron Hernandez, 19, was arrested Wednesday at his Sunnyvale home, five days after Michael Davis, 19, and a juvenile were arrested in Santa Clara, according to the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

Hernandez was booked in the Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges of carjacking, felon in possession of a firearm and possession of stolen property after Sunnyvale SWAT discovered a stolen handgun. Davis and the other suspect were arrested on a carjacking charge.

Sunnyvale police said a victim fueling his car at a Shell gas station at Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road on July 11 had his car stolen when the suspects approached him while pointing a "machine gun," demanding the keys to his car. Hernandez had two airsoft guns resembling AR-15s at his home.

The victim's car was found, abandoned, in San Jose "several days later," police said. Crime scene investigators found fingerprints on the car, which the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Identification Unit said belonged to Davis and a juvenile suspect.

Davis and the other suspect were arrested on July 23, and Hernandez was later identified as the third suspect.

Hernandez is being held without bail and has court appearances scheduled for Friday, Aug. 2 and Aug. 13, according to court logs. Davis' bail was set for $160,000, and he has no additional court appearances scheduled.
