San Francisco police have arrested five men in connection with a series of home invasion robberies in the city's Taraval and Ingleside Districts in August and September.

Police said 26-year-old Devontae Rutherford of Richmond, 37-year-old George Redmond of Richmond, 27-year-old Adrian Landers of Elk Grove, 39-year-old Travis Fields of Stockton, and 25-year-old Marvin Williams of Antioch were taken into custody between Oct. 20 and Oct. 31 at various locations across the East Bay and as far away as Stockton.

In each incident, a group of armed men entered the victims' homes and robbed them, police said.

The victims range in age from 17 to 81.

Cash, jewelry and other items were taken after the suspects forced their way into the homes and brandished firearms. In one of the robberies in the 100 block of Louisburg St. on Aug. 9, a suspect struck a 62-year-old man with his gun after forcing him into his garage while others ransacked the house.

The other incidents happened in the 500 block of Sunnydale Ave. and 600 block of Paris St. Each suspect faces charges of robbery, first-degree burglary and a felony enhancement.
