On Sunday morning at around 10 a.m., several laptops, iPads and iPhones were stolen from an Apple Store in Walnut Creek.
According to the Walnut Creek Police Department, the three suspects in the store fled after being inside the store for just two minutes.
The suspects then fled the scene via two vehicles that were waiting for them a few blocks away. A witness was able to note the license plate of one car and a description of the other.
Walnut Creek Police issued a Be On The Lookout (BOLO) with the car information.
Later, the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department found one of the vehicles associated with the crime on Los Gatos Blvd.
The officers on the scene conducted a "high risk vehicle stop," according to a post on the LGMSPD Facebook page. The two people inside that car were arrested and a search of the vehicle revealed two loaded handguns, including one that was unserialized, a "ghost" gun, with a high capacity magazine (30 rounds).
While they were searching that car, the second car was located in an adjacent shopping center and three more people were taken into custody, and the store merchandise was recovered.
The suspects have not been identified and the charges against them have not yet been released.
LGMSPD did not respond to KCBS Radio's request for comment at the time of publication.
