SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – The inside of the Pentecostals of the Bay Area church in Pittsburg is badly damaged after flames ripped through the building on Friday morning.

The fire was reported at 2:45 a.m. on Central Avenue in Pittsburgh, KTVU reported. The church's roof also caved in.
The building has been around for 75 years and used to be a theater. According to KPIX, it was recently renovated and has a new roof with solar panels and new flooring. The church has been there for about 20 years and has 1,000 parishioners.
Senior pastor Elias Limones told KPIX that he had no idea how the fire started.
Contra Costa Fire Protection District Captain George Laing said it would take time to figure out the cause of the fire.
