An Alameda teenager is dead after a stabbing in Hawaii early Tuesday.
Oscar Cardona, 21, has been charged in the death of 19-year-old Elian De La Cerda, as reported by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser. The incident happened at Waikiki's Kuhio Beach at about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday.
De La Cerda was pronounced dead at the scene.
Video obtained by Honolulu's KITV showed De La Cerda being confronted by a group of individuals, followed by a fight.
The alleged stabbing isn't shown in the clip.
The victim was apparently stabbed in the chest.
De La Cerda was visiting Hawaii, but the details of his trip weren't immediately clear. The incident remains under investigation.
