Several dozen protesters stormed into a town hall meeting being held by North Bay Congressman Jared Huffman at San Rafael Community Center on Tuesday afternoon.
Rep. Huffman just begun his first in-person town hall in 14 months and was addressing about 60 people seated six feet apart, plus a Facebook Live audience, when as many as 100 anti-vaccine protestors stormed the rear doors of the auditorium.

The protestors flaunted signs, screaming and chanting "shame on you" and "you can’t control my body" for at least 15 minutes.
When he tried to calm the crowd, the protestors only got louder.
The congressman initially thought he would have to cancel the remainder of the meeting, and briefly paused to consult with his aids. Instead of stopping, he proceeded with his talking points and took questions from audience.
After the event, Rep. Huffman’s interview with KCBS Radio's Jeffrey Schaub was interrupted by a protestor.

"In nine years in congress, and six years before that in the State Assembly, I’ve never seen such aggressive, disrespectful behavior," he said.
The protestor cut him off and said, "Sweetheart, that was peaceful. Peaceful protesting, which we have a right to do," to which Rep. Huffman rebutted, "I mean, this nice lady won’t even let me speak."
The protestors, none of whom were wearing masks, opposed vaccines and said it violates their civil rights. They also objected to Rep. Huffman initially requiring that attendees show proof of vaccination.
