It wasn’t until after going on a 100-mph chase on Highway 4 from Antioch to Bay Point, crashing into three patrol cars, sprinting through an occupied residence and resisting human and K-9 officers that a robbery suspect was arrested Sunday afternoon.

According to reporting by Bay City News, Cameron Conley, 28, of Hercules, suspected of committing multiple armed robberies in San Jose, was spotted by an Antioch police officer around 3:15 p.m. on Hillcrest Avenue near Highway 4 in Antioch.

Conley drove down Hillcrest to westbound Highway 4, leading the officer and several others on a high-speed chase. He exited Highway 4 at Bailey Road in Bay Point, then continued on Highway 4 eastbound.

The suspect fled into the Hidden Glenn neighborhood and smashed into three patrol cars, police said. Conley’s vehicle was damaged forcing him out of the car and on foot, entering someone’s home.

After a brief struggle Conley was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and then booked into the Martinez Detention Facility, police said.
