San Francisco based Airbnb has offered free housing for Ukrainians fleeing the fighting in their homeland and Sonic Internet in Santa Rosa is now offering unlimited long-distance calling from the U.S. to Ukraine. Wells Fargo Bank - headquartered in San Francisco - announced a million-dollar donation to three aid organizations helping in Ukraine: The Red Cross, the USO and World Central Kitchen.

"This sort of humanitarian crisis needs lots of support to try to address and that’s we are proud to step up and do that," Bill Daley Vice Chairman of Public Affairs for Wells Fargo told KCBS Radio.

Daley said the three aid organizations Wells Fargo Bank is donating to are at the border of Ukraine helping to serve people in need. He added that the bank is also passing along donations from employees who want to help out.

"And we have opened that up to employees who want to give their own money to these organizations, up to $1,000, and then our organization will match those contributions," he said.

Meanwhile, other tech companies are also helping Ukraine. Google is removing pins from Ukrainian maps that may have been used by Russia to coordinate airstrikes, and Space X is now providing internet service to Ukraine using its Skylink network of satellites.
