Police are searching for a bear that was spotted walking around an Oakley neighborhood early Friday morning.
Among other sightings, the animal was captured on a household doorbell video walking on Warhol Way toward Rembrandt Court in the town's Cypress Grove neighborhood at 4:30 a.m.
The bear was also spotted near an Oakley middle school and The Mercury News reported it was seen on multiple other household recordings.
"I have confirmed it is a bear," Oakley Police Chief Dean Capelletti told the paper. "Officers are trying to locate it now. Resources to deal with a bear are not readily available."
No other sightings were reported since Friday morning.
Police asked anyone who encounters it to stay away and call 925-625-8060.
