A hidden supply of illegal firearms was discovered on Thursday in Solano County by a Benicia police K-9.
After receiving an anonymous tip, police confiscated guns, parts and ammunition from the 400 block of East O St. in Benicia. By their side was the newest member of the K-9 unit, a 3-year-old Belgian Malinios named Enzo.
What was originally a probation check turned into an apartment raid on Aug. 5, when officers found that the resident was assembling and selling “ghost guns:” unregistered and untraceable firearms without serial numbers.
Enzo signaled to officers that firearms and explosives were present in the home, ultimately leading them to uncover the contraband.
The suspect, listed as Jesse James Mark Corcoran, was arrested and booked into Solano County jail.
