At 11:11 p.m. on July 20, a suspect, appearing to be a white man wearing dark clothing, used an aerosol can to spray the installation, detectives reported.
The artwork, titled "Perspectives: Past, Present and Future," was damaged on parts of the piece that read "Black Lives Matter" and "Equity."
Police are investigating the incident as a hate crime.
