Brandon Cuellar will be taken to a local hospital as a precaution, but he has been located alive, the San Jose Police Department announced in a tweet Tuesday.

Officials were searching for a man who allegedly took Cuellar from his home on the 1000 block of Elm Street on Monday. Security footage timestamped at 12:48 p.m. showed the alleged kidnapper walking down a sidewalk, carrying a baby's car seat covered by a white blanket.

Three suspects are in custody, including a woman who was shopping with Cuellar's grandmother earlier in the day. There were inconsistencies with her story leading officials to believe she may be linked to the kidnapping. Police are currently questioning the suspects.

Police described the alleged suspect as a short-haired Hispanic man, who was seen in the security footage wearing a gray hat, black mask, dark blue shirt and black pants. Officials said Cuellar's family told police they didn't recognize the suspect.

"If you're afraid or you don't want to come to the PD or the police department with the baby, go to a fire station, go somewhere with the baby, leave, tell them to call 911. Right now the number one thing is we want that baby home," authorities said in a statement directed at the man.

Police also called on residents in the area to check their ring cameras and surveillance footage for images of the suspect. They believe the alleged kidnapping was planned as the man arrived at the home with a baby carrier.
