
A small plane crashed in a Napa County vineyard Friday morning, officials said.
Three people – a pilot and two passengers – were on the plane when it crashed shortly after 8:40 a.m. near the Angwin Airport, the Napa County Sheriff's Office said.
All three people died. Their identifies are still unknown. The Napa County Sheriff's Office estimates it will be a couple of days before the victims can be identified.
The aircraft was a Beechcraft 35 Bonanza plane.
About 15 workers in the vineyard witnessed the crash.
A small fire did ignite when the plane crashed but was quickly extinguished.
The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting an investigation into what happened.
