CONCORD, Calif. (KCBS RADIO) – New data has been released showing that students in the U.S. are falling behind when it comes to history and civics.

Just 13% of the nation's 8th graders were proficient in United States history last year and 22% in civics. Educators and policy experts continue to ring the alarm about the lasting effect the pandemic has had on our kids' learning.
