
It was a difficult morning for Oakland police on Friday.
Officers responded to two unrelated but deadly crimes early Friday morning, where a hit-and-run and a shooting ended in two deaths, according to reporting by KTVU.
The hit-and-run was reported about 5 a.m. at Third and Market Streets. According to police, no suspects have been apprehended yet and someone connected to the scene has died.
And at about 2:30 a.m., a fatal shooting was reported in East Oakland on 20th Avenue near International Boulevard, police said.
According to a police spokeswoman, the victim was a woman from Fresno who died of apparent gunshot wounds. Attempts were made to save her but were ultimately unsuccessful.
