
A 76-year-old man was fatally stabbed in the South of Market district in San Francisco on Saturday, San Francisco police reported.
The incident happened inside of an apartment in the 1500 block of Folsom St. Police said the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Ryan Souva, turned himself into the Richmond Police Department on Saturday. Officers detained Souva and contacted San Francisco police, telling them to check in on the alleged victim.
Officers eventually found the victim suffering from an apparent stab wound.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Souva was taken to San Francisco County Jail where he was booked on one count of murder. The incident remains under investigation.
