
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS RADIO) – Authorities are warning people to avoid Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Santa Clara following heavy police activity.

At around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, the Santa Clara Police Department responded to a call for service at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center and Medical Offices located at 700 Lawrence Expressway.
As of 7:15 a.m., authorities were "able to come to a peaceful resolution with a subject in the emergency room at Kaiser Hospital," the department updated in a tweet.
Hospital staff who were on route to work or on-site were instructed to follow directions of law enforcement.
Further information is expected to be released later today.
KCBS Radio has reached out to the Santa Clara Police Department for comment, but has not yet heard back.
