A family of six is recovering after a helicopter crew had to airlift them to safety from a Wine Country hiking trail in Napa County this past weekend.

The California Highway Patrol shared video of the harrowing rescue near the Oat Hill Mine Trail and Palisades Trail northeast of Calistoga, which happened just before 7 p.m. Sunday. Authorities said four juveniles and two adults had to be airlifted in a hoist to Calistoga’s Logvy Community Park.
