One person died and another was injured at a large house party, held at an Airbnb rental that banned such gatherings, in Sunnyvale on Saturday night.

Sunnyvale police said Elias Elhania, 18, succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital. They didn't disclose the name of the other adult victim, who is expected to survive.

The Sunnyvale Police Department said Monday that the Navarro Drive home, where they found upwards of 200 attendees following a loud music complaint just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, was an Airbnb rental.

Most of the attendees were teenagers, according to police.

While police were attempting to identify the homeowner, shots were fired. The two victims were then taken to a nearby hospital.

Airbnb told KCBS Radio that the homeowner banned parties in her house rules, and the company said the party was thrown without her consent.

The listing has been deactivated following the shooting, according to the company.
