The Chevron Richmond Refinery is experiencing a flareup Thursday evening.
At 6 p.m., Chevron reported heavy flaming and smoke coming from the Richmond Refinery.
Officials said the refinery was stabilized, and there was no expected offsite impact.
Contra Costa Health Services said in a tweet just before 7 p.m. that crews are headed to the scene to conduct air monitoring. Officials said there has been no hazardous levels reported outside of the refinery.
