The Golden Gate Ferries have resumed weekend service, prompting a cheer of praise from Giants fans.

For the first time in two years, San Francisco Giants fans were able to take a weekend ferry ride to Oracle Park, with one-hundred or so baseball enthusiasts lined up in Larkspur excited to make the journey across the Bay.

The atmosphere was buzzing as fans anticipated seeing their team take on the Washington Nationals.

"It feels great," a young woman told KCBS Radio. "This is my first time in probably three years that I’m going and it feels so good to be back. It’s so normal."

Another fan chimed in.

"It feels normal again, like real life," he said. "Just seeing people integrating is really nice. I like to see everyone out."

In addition to the ballpark, regular weekend service resumed yesterday.

"I’m so excited to be out there," a happy passenger said. "I love it so much. The ferry is awesome."

Despite a mask-free mandate in the Bay Area, the Golden Gate Ferries kindly reminded their commuters on Saturday that masks are still required on the boat.
