Google Cloud has cut ties with its vice president of Developer Relations on Friday following accusations of anti-Semitic posts online.
In an internal email obtained by KPIX, Google announced the split with Amr Awadallah following a contentious meeting about anti-Semitism. Last month, the former VP wrote a confessional on LinkedIn titled "We are one!" where he revealed he was previously anti-Semitic.
This admission was discussed in the Google meeting where Awadallah allegedly defended his words, the station reported.
Awadallah stated that he is "still in complete shock" on his Twitter and asked friends for "some love right now."
