Multiple legal Oakland marijuana dispensaries were targeted by thieves over the weekend, with some of the attempted robberies resulting in gunfire, according to multiple outlets.
The most recent incident occurred around 3 a.m. Monday in the 8100 block of MacArthur Blvd.

Officers responded to reports of a break-in and arrived at the scene to find a number of subjects and vehicles fleeing, KPIX reported.
Police told the station that a suspect inside one of the escaping vehicles fired multiple gunshots at an Oakland patrol vehicle, striking it several times. Neither of the officers inside the vehicle were hurt.
No other information was available.
In addition, just an hour before around 2 a.m., police began investigating another looting incident was reported at the EC Cannabis dispensary at 2435 Telegraph Ave., authorities told the station. No other details were revealed.
Lastly, there was an exchange of gunfire at an online marijuana distribution center on 300 Pendleton Way on Sunday, which officials said was part of a series of dispensaries targeted by looters between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m, the outlet reported.
Investigators told the station that thieves were fleeing with a "large amount" of stolen marijuana when they were confronted by two security guards and a gun battle ensued. One of the suspects – a 32-year-old Oakland man – was wounded and is reportedly in stable condition at a local hospital.
It's unclear if any of the incidents are related.
