Hayward stabbing leaves a father and son dead, police investigating

HAYWARD, Calif. (KCBS RADIO) – A father and a son were stabbed to death over the weekend in Hayward.

Hayward Police Department officers responded to a call Sunday around 4:25 a.m. of a fight inside a residence near the 100 block of Lund Ave.

According to neighbors, the dead-end street of mostly apartment buildings is typically quiet.

Once on the scene, officers found two unconscious people – a father and son –  both suffering from stab wounds.

Despite efforts from medical personnel, both were pronounced dead at the scene.

This is an active investigation. The identities of the father and son are also being withheld for now.
