Friends, colleagues reflect on John Madden's legacy after his passing

John Madden has died unexpectedly, the NFL announced on Tuesday. The Hall of Fame coach, iconic broadcaster and longtime KCBS Radio contributor was 85 years old.

Madden, who appeared on KCBS Radio's airwaves from 1997-2015 and then again from 2017-18, was remembered fondly by his friends, former colleagues and multiple generations of fans.

Madden was survived by his wife, Virginia, as well as his sons Joe, Mike and five grandchildren.
